Asian Jar Toy Summer Art Tag

Asian Art Tag

Just a little love in a Jar:
The summer has just been whizzing by and with all the things happening around my home, I'm sorry to say, I haven't had alot of art to share with all of you lately. Although things are not quite there yet, things are at least a little better and settling down a bit and hopefully I can start spending a bit more time in my art room and also updating this blog regularly which has been greatly neglected these past few months.

Although I haven't been producing much in the way of Paper Art projects, I have used the occasional quite time to draw, which I enjoy, and the little Asian Jar Toy used as the main focal point in this Art Tag is one in a new Asian Doll Toys series I will continue to add to as time allows. The main focal point on this tag has been colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with odorless turpentine using paper stumps. The pink background was created with my "How do I love the digital stamp background design. For extra embellishments I used various colors of Embroidery floss, Gold Thread, Green Satin Ribbon, Tiny Rhinestones and 3 Red Wooden Beads.

Asian Digital Stamp Tag ArtI created this Art Tag for the August challenge at the The Craft Garden. This will be the last challenge on the Craft Garden for a while as Kerry has decided to take a bit of a break, (not sure for how long) but I'm looking forward to it's return. I have really enjoyed being part of Kerry's DT and thank her for not only the opportunity but for the fun, motivation and inspiration her challenges have brought me.

This month's challenge has a color theme with a wonderful array of summer colors inspired by strawberries which you can see on the right.

Since this is the last challenge for awhile, it is extra special and promises to be lots of fun so hope you will come bye and have a look at the rest of the team's wonderful creations and share your own art with us. You have an entire month to join us for this challenge and I look forward to seeing your fabulous creations.

I've seen your name around the internet, but have never stopped by your place before. I love your tags, including the Asian Jar Toy, but I especially LOVE the Buried Treasure you left. I had to peek at that recycled box project. Ambitious, that's for sure.

And thanks for stopping by my place for a visit, too.
